I have often referred to flipping as being my "cure" for ADHD, kinda like a thing i do to keep my hands busy. Like its my excuse for "all this nonsense" (which is what everyone tell me after i show my hands all fucked up). But the more i think about it, the more i realize, it only fuels my ADD. like ill be in class and ill zone off and think about flipping and think about what combo ill be doing for my next challenge. then i get antsy to come home and flip again. Flipping used to be a scape goat, but not its a fuckin addiction, its a fuckin passion. i think about it all day, i have dreams about it... i fuckin love it! ive always been a guy pushing myself in every aspect in my life and Balisong is ALL THAT. like its ALL about pushing myself, its ALL about self gratitude when i land a trick smooth. ADHD only helps me become better at flipping coz i ALWAYS need shit in my hands, always gotta be doing something. so ADHD helps my flipping. and i love it. Anyone else got ADHD?

Flipping helps with my Tourette's too. I now realize that telling people I have Tourette's while I'm flipping around a sharp piece of steel isn't the best idea. :bwah:

Just one of my many ailments. But I have to completely disagree that its a scam. Ive suffered from it and other mental disorders and It aint no bullshit. I will admit I feel sometimes doctors are a little too quick to diagnose people with certain issues without getting all the information but in many legit cases of ADHD.
I also suffer from a crippling case of anxiety as well and its just crazy the shit that I worry about and for how long. Many have the attitude of "snap out of it pussy and man up!" To them I say fuck yourself with you EDC because you will never know unless you have been in my shoes. To have a rational fear is one thing. At least you know where it comes from and therefore know how to confront it. But to nearly have a heart attack and feeling like your gonna die and having no idea why or how its happening is fucking brutal. Its nearly impossible to confront a fear that seems to have no real trigger and can happen anytime over anything.

I hate my ADHD:manganr: I'm om meds all day during the week. I think flipping helps me with both that and when I'm felling down or depressed. Flipping and these forums help a lot sometimes. I need to get a new baliyo for flipping at school. At home i have my knife in my hands 24/7. Also during wrestling season, i would find myself doing a BT8B with my head gear right before a match. Helps to get rid of anxiety.

ADD/ADHD here, I find it definitely helps me out. I usually flip it when I'm able to. If not I've got a mean case of restless leg syndrome.

yea I know what you mean - I used to have Depersonalization, and Derealization anxiety disorders. That fear of the unknown, the panic attacks, the constant times I tried to self-diagnose myself. I wish you the best of luck.

While I do not have this issue I know first hand what you are dealing with. My wife suffers for OCD and crippling anxiety. It did not truely show up until she was in her late 20's. She went from having a high paying corporate job to not leaving our home at ALL for five years. She was able to turn herself around though, but is a constant battle for her. Most people have no idea how crippling anxiety can be. I wish the two of you are a lot of luck and positive thoughts.

damn true. im always thinking of combos and twirling pencils pretending its a bali. it truley is a passion. i always have a bali in my hand and im always flippin(when im not at school or work) people think im addicted, but a passion is a good way to describe it :yuna:
