Contrary to popular belief, gas WILL NOT ignite from a lit cig. I knew a guy once that would, after cutting or welding parts, quench the red hot metal in raw gas. Definately not the smartest thing to do, but nothing ever ignited.

Unfortunately we had a local story last month that was horribly true. A mother heard that gas would get rid of head lice, which her three children had. She put the three (8 mts, 3 years and 8 years) in the bathtub along with 2 gallons of gas. As she continued to fill the tub with hot water the fumes were ignited by the gas water heater flame and----------BOOOOOM. The neighbors saw the children running out of the house screaming with their skin all white (they were originally black!!!)

The two youngest have died, the oldest child is critical in a burn center and the mom is in stable condition. If she survives I would personally like to put a Bic lighter to her ass:firedevil
