The NJ Steel baron has thrown down the gauntlet!

He is offering a bar of steel (to be decided by him and us) to SWEETEN the pot on the build off of build offs!

This way we can get everyone's newest brightest shining star steel supplier more of OUR business!

How about we all start off with the same basic bar and this way the contest starts off even and lets the best showcase their skills even more!

What say you, Devils!?!?!!??:balrog:

  to Aldo!

First things first.
1. Is there more than 1 category?
2. If so what are they?
3. If not than I need suggestions.

Beyond that I want to see what interest there is. I'll supply the steel to all interested parties(No you can't have 50 pounds in case you screw something up!).

I believe it's usually fixed blade, folder and art knife.

So are we talking about everyone working within a certain size range?

You'll have to talk to Ron. He'll probably say that size doesn't matter.:bwah:

I'd like to say that Aldo has more than stepped up by volunteering steel to this project. I'll be watching with interest.

Actually Lon I was thinking about W-2 myself. I've got some W-2 plate waiting to be saw cut to bars. It will be a good test for the new(old) plate saw which should be set to go by Wed or Thurs. of this week.

I'm down.

First thing we need to do is decide what the parameters are.

Same categories as last year? Any restrictions as far as dimensions go?

For God's sake Harm ............ it would be cheaper to fly you here and put you up till the knife was done than to ship the steel to you.:bwah:
