I was actually on his list for about 3 or 4 months and I got lucky that when Dalton combat went out of business he had just enough good blades/handles left to make me and a few others a knife.

The only thing that I am disappointed about is that the blade is stamped HOM only rather than Dalton/HOM (considering Dalton is my name :)).

very cool collection. Its cool you got in under the wire with the bask... in a way I guess what you have may be MORE collectible? with the blade stamped the way it is??

haha well i hope so! and sorry reaper but i dont think this one is going anywhere for a while :)

You cant really see it in the pictures but the handles are actually blue/black g10 which i havent seen before on a basilisk (slotted atleast).

Once i get over my obsession with the knife ill probably do a passaround for those of you who havent been able to handle one (and those whom are much more talented flippers than I).

Nice man! Great collection. Nice to have one lightweight flipper (51) to
refine your techniqe and one balanced flipper (Basilisk) to let your skills shine.

Thanks man. It isnt really much compared to your collection tho :)

I actually like the 51 a lot for flipping and I think people are way to hard on it. The basilisk is exceptional though and the bolsters being at the bottom of the handles makes it feel like a much heavier knife when it comes to rollovers and such.

What is your next bali? any ideas yet?

I'm on the waiting list for a baliballistic actually. I like the
new Kimura series, but I think the K2 is close enough to
them so probably will hold off on them for now. Would love
to get a basilisk myself, but they are a hard find.

Im surprised you dont have one yet! Let me know when you get the baliballistic though cause i am looking at either one of those, a darrel ralph, or maybe a 29 tanto (not sure about this one flipping wise).

Yeah its a pretty good flipper but It would be GREAT with just a little extra weight in at the end of the handles .. trying to think of an option with out replacing the G10

Yeah I think that might help ... But I'm not sure where to go for that .. I'm definitely not a metal fabricator .. Be a bummer to lose the Blue ..

Jason from the Flipping Arena made some tungsten spacers for a typhoon if i remember right. That might be an option. If you could figure out the exact dimensions, i'm sure you could find someone to make them for you.
