I need the prays of all you kind folks to get me thru this most difficult time......

I'm taking my kids Christmas shopping this morning! :dammit:

I HATE shopping in crowds, and with 130 million other people shopping today, I don't think I can avoid the crowds. So say a little pray for me, that I don't end up killing someone!

Black Friday would be one of my favorite days to go out with my friends. Not for sales but just to be able to act like an idiot in a large crowd. Sometimes we would buy something.

I'd roll like this guy on Black Friday. Except I wasn't as cool.

I bet he doesn't get too close to stairways or esclators!
It would be just too tempting.

Not having to bring kids shopping is a huge plus......I can usually start on the morning of December 24th and have it nailed by 2:30 or so.
The crowds drive me bat shit , and if I am forced to enter the Mall of America......my only solace is to go up to the food court on the third floor and visualize it as a large Nebraska feed lot for cattle.
Take I-80 west from North Platte and you will see that I am very near the mark.
I have that proverbial Christmas shopping horse shoe up my ass , because I get lucky and get gifts people actually want , and have no idea how it happens.
Usually getting to gawk at people is amusing for me , but when I have a mission , they just get in my way and piss me off.
Then I am forced to remember that it is Christmas , and I have to refrain from hurling out verbal abuse and scaring the kiddies.
If this was a semi annual event , you would find me far less tolerant about the whole deal.

I'm starting to get into the spirit of Christmas already but damn...I am not going to go to the mall shopping! :hityou: I shop on the internet or people get $$$ to do their own shopping! :-D Who here actually gets gifts for the pets on your list? I have to get gifts for my dog and my sister's & niece's cats or those aninals won't talk to me! I shouldn't complain... the furry creatures give me presents too!

Yeah, the doggies get chew toys at Christmas. They don't like the house full of company so they get a toy to hide with.

Oh ,yes ! Once we start unwrapping stuff , I get the look.
You know it.....the where the hell is mine look.
Plus watching a cat stoned on cat nip makes the price of the toy a bargain.
The dogs get raw hide chew toys and a stuffed animal to dismember.
Great fun for everybody.

What is it with that catnip, anyway? Our neighbour loves to get his cats all wired up on that shit.

I'm back! And there's no bodies to hide! :-D

Shopping wasn't that bad at all, not nearly as crowded as years past. My kids got all their shopping done in about 7 hours, in two malls, and half a dozen mini-malls.

one day when my daughter was about four years old she came to me and said "you have to do anything i tell you'. i asked her why. she said "because i'm cute!" and ran off giggling.

must have been her mother's bad example :)
