While waiting on a couple tools i decided to make a couple more 'o these!!
Latchless:
Blade: ATS-34, 3/16" Thick
Handles: 6AL4V TI
Spacers: 6AL4V TI
Inserts: black g-10
Blade ground on 2" and 4" wheels! blade is 4.25" long
Utility:
Blade: ATS-34, 3/16" Thick
Handles: 6AL4V TI
Spacers: 6AL4V TI
Latch: 6AL4V TI
Inserts: ivory/tan g-10
Blade is 4.3" and OAL is 9.6".
I got some great advice and an awsome new tool to tune bronze bushings to exact tolorances.these slipjoint makers got some serious tricks up their sleeves :) both knives have PB bushings that are tuned to better tolorances then the tachyon,so these flip awsome!! to be honest,i'd prefere it over bearings!! a tad slower but it gives that old school feel, only blade will never contact insides of handles or be pinched by sqeezing handles.expect to see alot more bushing bali's!!
I got a bit to confident after making that small insert bali.i quickly learned why makers change a whole lot more for machined TI.this stuff just eats expensive endmills.i doubt i will make many more in titanium..anywho..,have a look!
