Well it looks like I have to get my tetanus shot...im not at all afriad of needles because I get my blood taken ALL the damn time...
But the last time I got a tetanus shot it fucking disabled my arm for like a day, it was like they injected super glue.
Why me? WHY?!?!?

They're not as bad as anthrax shots. Those are the worst.
If you'd quit letting those ticks lunch on you you wouldn't need tetanus boosters!

My last tetanus shot came with a scar on my left leg from my Ultratech. It did not hurt but being drunk must help. Kidney stones are king of all pain. I watched as the nurse put the IV needle in the back of my hand, could not even feel it. Not so much pain that you are in shock but you would welcome it.

One day of discomfort is better than the alternative:

You Hee-Men should try being on Hemo Dialysis. Needles the size of soda straws stuck in your arm for 3 and a half hours, 3 times a week, watching ALL of your blood circulating through a machine in transparent tubing, also giving yourself 4 times a day insulin injections. After that, a tetnus shot is like a pleasant interlude! :bwah: :bruce:
Don't be such a wuss..........
lmfao!!
Hahahahahaha
Better you then me!!:manganr:

Don't like that stupid shot... They caught me years ago when they were going through my history and what I did for a living... Yeah... Fuckers... hurt for 3 damn days. :G3:

This is like funny.........2 year old thread resurrected just in time. Don't you know the real way to sort of kind of avoid the pain the arm/ass shot in the arm/ass? Having done my time on the mobility teams I had cholera, malaria, typhoid, tetenus and a myriad of other useless pain in the arm/ass nonsense. After shot time it was off to the gym to pump weights for about an hour. The theory being to work all the shit out of the muscle and distribute it more evenly around the body..........or some crazy thing like that. But actually it does work. Not saying I didn't have any reactions, but they were definitely not as bad as everyone else who didn't go to the gym. I will tell you that a definite reaction to a cholera/malaria/thyphoid round is a miscarriage..........didn't know I was pregnant:cry:

Don't worry, I am too, Ron. :jdwink2:
I'd heard that about the exercise thing... a friend told me that her father made her and her sister throw baseballs for an hour or so after they had their tetanus shots... Granted, she told me this 4 days after I had my shot... once it stopped hurting... but should I ever need to get another one, I will do this!

I agree. I had a kidney stone and had the actual thought that hitting myself in the head with a shovel would be better than what I was feeling. I had crazy thoughts of cutting the kidney out... it would be less painful. If you ever get a stone prepare for the worst..... EVER!! As far as needles go.... Spinal Tap.... you can't get worse than that (though I've never had one). It also sucks to get the water drained off your knee or elbow. That's a big ass needle as well (I have had that).

Someone should bump the pain thread! I had a kidney stone in 1969. Thank god for morphine!! When I was 5, I had a spinal tap in the middle of the night at L.A. General Hospital in East L.A.. I can still remember the details of the room and the discomfort of the cold steel table. The nurse trying to get me to walk and me falling over! I had polio and was paralyzed in my right leg for 3 months that summer. Made a full recovery!

I don't fear the needle... I fear who's giving me the needle! I hate it when I tell them to use my right arm because it seems to be bigger blood vessels over there and they say... 'I'll try the left - I like a challenge!'

Meh. Needles tend to not bug me. I've got to go get the 3rd World Cocktail soon, but the thought doesn't really bother me. Beats the alternative.

Yeah, I'll just stay out of the 3rd world myself, thanks.
