Game wardens have a bad job. I know a captain in this area and he has told me the same thing. They carry weapons around here. From time to time he finds pot being grown and stills. Those boys don't play nice.

I own a SKS, but I really don't care for goats, unless bbq'd over an open pit with lot's of my homemade sauce. I'm wondering if the SKS was modified from its standard 10 round top loading mag to a detachable higher capacity mag. Here in the commie-queer state of CA, it is illegal to hunt with a semi-automatic firearm, and it's also illegal to have more than 3 rounds in the rifle including the chamber and magazine including shotguns. I was curtly reminded of that one time when a game warden jacked the 4th round from my .243 and let me return to the hunt after a long drawn out lecture. As for the shooter in this case, he is entitled to a fair trial (unless he's an illegal), and then if I remember right, Wisco has no death penalty. So the proper thing to do would be to form a vigilante commitee and hang the motherfucker from a tree in the towne square. Shooting him would just anger the anti-gunners even further.

Shades of Copperhead Road, Guillermo. Ours carry sidearms these days, but I believe it's the poachers who are making big money selling weird shit on the Asian market who are the reason. Regular hunters who don't have the right tag aren't a problem even though they could lose their rifle and vehicle if convicted.

The plot thickens. The only people who REALLY know what happened are dead. I doubt we'll ever really know.

This is a story, as they say, that has legs. We'll still be hearing about this a month from now.

The anti-gun shit storm should be interesting since it was pro-gun people who got shot and we all have to wonder what their families are going to have to say about it. Anti-gunners aren't going to have a leg to stand on if the families of the dead don't support them.

Copperhead Road :D :D You won't believe this but I lived 1 mile from the Johnson County that is mentioned in that song. I passed through it 5 days a week on my drive to North Carolina. Their Shriff and our Police Chief traded evidence to sell out of their gun shops a few years back. Both got busted but they were good guys. They kept things in line like the good old boys they were.
