Under 21 concealed carry

Does anyone have any advise or info, even loopholes on how to get a concealed carry permit for under 21.

Im active duty army and i think its a little off that I cant carry in most states. I'm from Vermont originally and my state doesn't have much in the way of gun laws. Nobody really cares who's carrying what, as long as you aren't dumb about it. That being said I can't use the Reciprocity act(s) that most states employ because my state doesn't issue any permits at all.

I guess my question is; Can i go to another state and get their permit? and will that reciprocate to other states?

I think most states do not allow for the possession or ownership of a handgun by anyone under the age of 21. (except under the supervision of an adult, or active military personnel) In my state you cannot even take the CCW course until you are 21, let alone get a permit. Wish I had better news for you.

recent law passed here in SC and an 18 year old can buy a handgun

they can take the CWP class at 18 but can't actually file for the CWP until they are 21

I know that a visitor in Florida (i.e., don't have to be a resident) can get a CCW permit, and a lot of other states respect Florida's permits. But you still have to be 21. I don't know of any state that's lower.

Vermonts law allows you to conceal any gun you can legally buy.
You cant legally buy a handgun until you are 21.
So you cant carry a concealed handgun in Vermont until you are 21.

I know its not fair to those who are responsible and under 21.
But rules are rules.

Right, well i'm stationed in Florida at the moment, And i'm getting stationed in washington state in the coming months. I know they have some weird laws, I'm trying to find a state i can get a non resident permit in that washington will accept.

you might want to think about carrying openly, until you're 21. most states that allow open carry, don't require you to have any sort of license to do so. the only state that i can think of is GA. and here in PA, you need a license to carry openly or concealed in Philly. did you check to see if UT issues non-resident permits to 18 year olds?

and yeah, it' jacked up that you put your life on the line for us, defending freedom, but you can't buy a beer, or carry a gun. thank you for your service, young man.

Aint gonna happen. You are under 21. The legal age to purchase a hangun. No loop holes, no cheat codes, no special circumstances. No way no how.

If I had my way Military would carry all the time, Mandatory. But that aint the way it is.

True one year left. I was never in a rush about it, but i'm getting stationed in washington state pretty soon and i'm an avid outdoorsman. I'll be spending as much time as i can wandering through the woods checking out the national parks and Mt Rainier and trekking without a cause. But its not new england, there's animals out there that out rank me. Wouldn't mind a little peace of mind on the hip.

I know what you mean. I grew up in N.H. (we called you guys "Stump Jumpers")
Not a lot of game that can kill you back there. I'm in Colorado now, things are bigger here.

Most critters are afraid of you, being at the top of the food chain. But a .44 mag on the hip does give a little peace of mind.
If you keep your wits about you, You will have nothing to fear.

Watch out for that "Bigfoot' fellow. I hear he hangs out up there.:devilzeek

Seriously, If you made it through Florida, (I did @ 18) the vipers, gators and other predators. Washinton will seem tame.

You can legally purchase a handgun in some states at 18. The federal law prevents you from purchasing a handgun from a DEALER until you're 21 so unless there's a state law against it you can purchase from an individual before that.
