This is one of my favorite fixed pocket blades, great size and thickness, has a nice slim leather pouch sheath, Gene calls it the Elephant Toenail
440C at 58rc, antique ivory paper micarta with black liners and mosaic pins. Blade is 2 inces overall length is 5 and little bit.
2/2/06 I finally took a pic of it with the sheath...added.

Man, that looks like a million bucks. A perfect fixed blade pocket knife.
Gene just e-mailed me to say my #7 is ready... 3 weeks ahead of schedule. Now I'm going through the agony of waiting until sometime next week when it shows up. It has white micarta scales with black liners... drool.

Gene makes great users. Your #7 sounds like a winner, are the scales linen or paper micarta? take pics when you get it. I need to take a pic of mine in the sheath, it's fits really well, has a nice secure "snap" into place.

What's the function of that leather loop on the sheat?

The small tube loop is for holding a fire steel. The big loop allows carry as a cross draw.

I envisioned paper, but I just went back and re-read my original e-mail to him and I didn't specify, I just said "polished white micarta". I have nothing against linen though, if that's what shows up.
