My wife got an email yesterday, from company that is looking for a wolf looking dog for a film shoot. They asked for a picture of our Tamaskan, "Freyja". She sent them a recent shot and they liked her. She is 8 months and 75 lbs. Looks like we may be heading to New York City in the next few weeks for an overnight shoot. I guess its a TV show where they want a "wolf" to cross infront of a car.?. Still trying to get details, but if it makes me feel like its exploitative, I will nix the idea. Here is my only shot I have of her now(new cell phone). She is sleeping and sideways, but ........... So, any devils in New York City? I would love to meet some of you guys and gals. When dates and details get firm I will let everyone know.

Watch out for scams. They are rampant nowadays, especially ones wanting you to drop down money to travel, albeit job interviews or otherwise.

She is a beautiful dog!!

How did they know you have a dog like that? I dunno, something just doesn't feel right to me.

When I was a kid my mom and I had an old wooden Dory we had totally redone.
One day at the dock a man came up to us to ask if we would like to see our boat in a movie, said we'd get paid $200 per day for use of the boat. Movie turned out to be Captain Courageous. Well long story short was 2 days later after production started, we got our Dory back. They had filmed a storm scene and had dropped something large, right down through the bottom of our 100yr old boat. They then left it tied to the dock where it then sank and gave us a check for $400 and told us thanks, sorry about the boat. F'ing Bastards! I have never seen my mother cry so hard. It was 1977 +/- mother was raising me alone and only $400 for a lawyer.
Be careful and get everything in writing- any scene with a dog and a car, be leery of.

No, they are very reputable, and paying decently. As more details emerge I will pass it on if necessary. They have a website and have worked in TV and movies. There are a VERY small number of these dogs in the US. They got our email from a breeded regristry. I believe us and one other breeder in the states.

Thanks for the complements on Freyja. She is a sweethart and with our other dog, "Fenris Ulf", they get me through the day.

I'm gonna get her a SS#, a W-4, then a credit card. When that happens, she will buy LOTS of knives and guns. She has impeccable taste!
