This is my first ball peen hawk. I did a spike on this one. I think there will be more in the future.
Spike Hawk made from a 24 oz. American made Ball Peen Hammer
Aged patina with a hickory haft. I'll post again in for sale.

That's pretty cool. Did you find that it felt like banging your hammer into another hammer when you started to strike?:cheesydevil: I made one a while back that doesn't look nearly as good as that.

Yea.....at first it was just like banging one hammer with another but as it took shape it was just like any other hawk. I think it is one of the better finish grinds I have done and the patina worked well.
