I bought this as a birthday present for myself after I found it at a low great price. It is clunky and it's got spray and pray sights, but it's fun to shoot, a S&W Model 76 copy from Special Weapons out of Mesa.

That's cool. I'd love to have one of those. Good luck with it.:bruce:

Something I've always wanted to do is to build a Swedish "K" gun (what the SEALS used in Nam) in semi-auto. The parts kits are $300 - $400; the biggest problem would be to convert it from an open bolt shooter (ATFE bad bad bad) to a closed bolt semi (ATFE not as bad). I see now that E-Gun Parts has Sterling Parts kits for sale...$399. The Cadillac of 9mm subguns...

The Sterling is the Cadillac of 9 subguns?

That's how my interest started. I was dead set on building a swedish K, but with no receiver/bolt conversion set up out there I went through various options. When I saw this little gem at a killer low price I picked it up.

Swedish Ks are awesome guns, that semi-auto you have there is sweet - congratulations on the new toy.

As far as the "cadillac" of subguns, I would have to go with (you guessed it) an MP-5. We have both the regular version (I think it is an A2 it has a full stock and a S-E-F trigger pack) at work and it is a lot of fun.

If you ever get your hands on one of the SD variants (integral suppressor) they are like shooting a power washer :)

I still love Thompsons though, maybe if I win the powerball someday I might be able to own one.
