View Full Version : Actual words spoken by my wife ...
No lie here. These are the actual words my wife spoke to me.
"Honey, why don't you sell a few of your knives and buy a Sebenza. I know you really want one."
This was after looking at Ron's raffle knife.
So ....... we may have a cull.

Ron, I can't buy your knife from you for $45.00. That wouldn't be fair to you.

Wow, all my wife ever says in regards to my knives is "quit buying the damn things, you have enough already" Apparently, 1 knife for every day of the year is too many in her book. If only she knew about the one I have for leap years......
Get one with holes.
The holes seem to make them float out of pockets. I'm pretty keen on keeping this one.

In her defense, I was talking about selling a few knives. I could go and buy one but I'm at the point that I want to cull the collection a bit. It's pretty pricey when you consider the Canadian / American exchange rate so I'd rather sell the ones I don't want anymore to get what I want.
At this point in time, I wish I'd listen to those posting on BFC about buying the Sebbie right from the get go. I'm still waffling on the purchase of one though. I may choose another maker.

I know what you mean,Wes.
Maybe you should post a wanted-message in one (or all) of the forums?
I was reading a lot of good stuff about the Sebbie,so I wrote a wanted post on a forum and,whattayaknow....,someone offered me a new large regular, cheaper than retail and shipping to the Netherlands included :biggthum: !!!
(To be honest with you.....,I wouldn't pay much more for it then I did now. It is a great knife, but it doesn't come cheap!)
Good luck...:wolfgang:

The Sebenza is an important part of any well balanced knife collection.......Right ,:ron: . :D: Actually , I just added one of his to my collection but I have wanted a Sebbie for some time now.
And I see myself maybe selling a few off to fund another acquisition....but there are knives and there are knives. Some of them just ain't for sale.

WOW. My wife always leaves off everything from "and" on... :dammit: Oh yeah. And she calls me something other than honey when she speaks to me of knives.

Gave me a son instead. Had to wait a bit for that one but he's better than the silver turd.
