Anyone goint to Camp Perry this year? I'm doing the Garand and the M1A Match. I may possibly go early and compete in the Springfield match as well.

I did the 1st Springfield M1A match; it rained...no down poured all day. I could of used scuba gear.:cheesydevil: I'm staying home this year.
It was fun though. My first match. What I found pretty cool was the crack of them bullets overhead when I was working the pit.
Maybe next year.

Last year was mild and sunny for the M1A match. Everyone was still talking about the year before. That's Ohio weather for you.

Last year was my first year shooting the M1A match. My nephew and I were unaware that we needed to supply our own ammo having participated in the CMP matches before and ended up buying 7.62 ammo for the M1A match. We bought the last of the available ammo we could find and were still 10 rounds short. Cost us $1.00 a round. Some really nice people gave us the extra rounds we needed. We were a little overwhelmed having never shot that match and the fact that the gas plug came loose and made the rifle spray its shots all over. We laughed about it later though.
