I wanted to post a few of my auto's on here. This one's called
"The Black Pearl". With a double action mechanism of my own design, Titanium frame, carved Turkish Damascus blade, carved Mokume bolsters, and carved black lip pearl scales. Allthough she was sold, I thought you might like to see her! Let me know what you think.

sweet knife man. I really like it when people go the extra mile and take knives to the artistic level. Right now pieces like that are out of my price point but i admire them with a huge passion.

Most impressive! What type of tools do you use to carve the graphics into the steel? Is that done by hand or machine?:ssmile:ILK

So that's the sound a jaw makes when it hits the ground. That's just plain beautiful. Top shelf.
Extremely nice Brad. Stunning actually. The intricacy is phenomenal.
Curious what type lock it has? Can't really tell from the pics...

Yes, what he said. Lots of work in that knife and it;s beautiful.
In this pic you can see the cut out for the liner or frame lock.

Thank you all. I started carving by hand about 38 years ago in wood and antler and then in 1978 tried my first dremel. Now it's a combination Dremel with a foot pedal for constant speed changes during my cuts, and files , special hand made sanding blocks and gravers.
Here is my first engraving with push gravers, the subject was a penny and the material is reconstituted garnet. I made a dozen custom graver bits to cut this piece and it took just about 40 hours. Circa 1993. I still do 20 hour days on work like this.
I might add that Mokume is very dificult to carve with rotory tools...you only miss read the grain once, and good buy!

The Black Pearl is a one of a kind knife. However, I can make my model 2 in many configurations, including....Manual, Double action or single action auto, stainless or carbon Damascus or S30V, all have titanium frames and clips, any choice of handle materials. Mokume, mosaic damascus, nickel silver, carbonfiber, or stainless bolsters... here are a few variations ..

But there are many more possible! I can also use 154 CM if thats what you like.
Yes it is a frame lock...and it is availible with my stainless lock insert for rock solid lock durability!
