Remember this one...
http://www.jerzeedevil.com/gallery/files/1/0/6/4/coyote_scraper.jpg
"Coyote Scraper" with random damascus/forged finish blade, wrought iron guard, California Buckeye Burl throat and Coyote jaw-bone handle with a damascus tooth.

... well, Paul Long and I were discussing sheaths and he introduced me to a fella by the name of John Cohea in Atlanta. John makes period style sheaths and one I saw some of his work I handed him the Coyote knife above and told him to go to town. Here's what he did for me..

... the rawhide sheath is beaded with horse-hair accents, has a bear claw on the front and John's symbol (a coyote claw) on the back.

This one will be going to Chuck Ward for some professional pix next week and then up for sale. You can expect more period style pieces from me and John soon.

awesome...... I remember a discussion like this a couple of years ago under different circumstances.

Good looking piece all around.

Really cool looking all around J.

BTW, whatever happened to that saw blade knife you ground out at the MD Blacksmith festival in Westminster?

That's cool bud, thanks. I ground out a few of those and passed them around that weekend.

how comfortable is that handle?

it looks really interesting and would definitely be a conversation starter, but could you survive in the woods if this was the only knife you had?

i have no questions about the blade, as i know you make great usable blades, but the teeth seem like they would poke you a bit.....

thanks...

Well, it wouldn't be my first choice to take deer hunting but, she'd work. I'd assume the user would be wearing deer skin gloves to complete the outfit.
