Who has been?
What were you shooting?
When are you going back?
For me:
Last night I finished the last of my supervised shoots to join one of the local clubs here. It's one of those lovely legalities that we have here. Nevertheless, paperwork should be going in this week. No pics yet. I'll wait till I'm fully participating before I bring the camera.
As for the shooting part, I don't have full membership yet so I get the chance to shoot with others. I forgot how willing to share other shooters are. The fellow I was shooting with had a Glock, a Colt Gold Cup, a Model 24 .44 Special, and a snub nose, shrouded hammer .38.
It was the first time I've shot a Glock. I was well and truly impressed.
The Gold Cup was the one though. Damn was the action smooth. If that was that good, I can't even imagine what those pimped out .45s must be like.
The Model 24 was good too. Short barrel, I think 2.5" or so, perhaps 3".
I wasn't keen on the .38. It was okay and probably very comforting in a dark alley, but not all that applicable to range use.
I'm going back next Friday, club night.
Finally, after all the years of moving, it's time to get serious.
