I had been looking at this kit for some time and decided to pull the trigger on one

I contacted stdlrf11(www.fingear.org) and placed my order.. on the 22nd of December, I was pleasently surprised when the kit arrived on the 26th of December, with the christmas rush on shipping through the USPS...I was pleased with the prompt delivery.

First impressions...this kit is well built and has over sewn seams that are well done and finished. The base material is a soft canvas type that is very sturdy feeling. The fold out built in cleaning mat is extremely cool design feature of the kit and really the only reason I purchased this kit.

When opened the kits double thickness mat will allow for even the largest pistols a safe soft absorbent area for cleaning. It aslo fold in such a manner that you can access the accessories pouch with out fumbling around to get to it.

The pouch has ample space to personalize you kit should you desire to do so. I added some training (inert) 9mm rounds and a small flashlight as well as a UCS ( universal cleaning stick) from county comm.

Contents of the kit are basic and well thought out...a refillable liquids bottle, pipe cleaners, long wooden one end q-tips, short wooden double q-tips, cleaning patches, brush, and pistol rod.

I opted to purchase the full refill kit as well and use the second cleaning bottle for Hoppes #9 and the other bottle for CLP.

I have used the kit once since purchase and find it to be a more usable kit than my OTIS system. The OTIS is good for cleaning sure and while I like it I will use the "FINLAY KIT" much more often since it has more value as a cleaning kit to me.

Over all this kit offers something that is lacking in the market. I would recommend this kit to any pistol or even a rifle shooter any day.

That does look more than useful. I can't find pipe cleaners by me. I once stopped by a head shop and they had pipe cleaners but they had steel to get the resin outa the pipe. It was like cleaner with spikes all over.

You can find them at Cigar shops. They all have a wire core, but I've never seen one with steel bristles. Admitedly, I've never been to a head shop. All the bristled ones I've bought had nylon bristles.

These nobs could be used to cut the cell bars for an escape. The head shop was an Indian smoke cigar shop. The name should have tipped me off- Chief Cottonmouth. I think I need one of your kits.

I have used this Kit multiple times at the range for work and qualifying and it is showing its quality more and more. The Versatilty of this kit with the built in mat is just awesome. It makes things so much nicer when you are at an outside range and now have a place to put your parts making sure they are all together.

I have found no faults in this kit whatsoever and have added many items from my home kit to it making it my #1 kit for all occasions. Thanks FIN.....

oh, and i am going to need to talk to you soon about a possible departmental purchase.
