Ron,

We met at the Empire knife club a month ago. Nice seeing you guys at the Steak and Ale today. We are dealers who do many knife shows: The Stanford Ct, Blade, both New York shows, Chicago Custom knife show, Timoniom Maryland show and have just launched our website www.knifepurveyor.com.

Hope you like the new T-shirt. I'd like to exchange banners with you guys once I get one. Thanks.

whos in your avatar?:devilzide

I have few honest-to-god heros. He was one. Indian Larry. He lived more in 10 years than I could possibly live in a lifetime. Always down to earth, never pompous, fake or obscene. This picture was taken about a year and a half ago, roughly three months before his death.

To give you some idea of his attitude, when he took time to talk with me and to take this picture with me at The Horse SmokeOut, he was in the middle of talking with half-clothed bimbos and autographing their breasts. I kidded him that he had better forget me and get back to them. He told me that the women would always be there. He always had time for a brother.

He is missed by many.

Though I still hesitate to call myself a maker just yet....but, Mr. Labella asked if I'd posted here, so I am :) I made my first knife in November of 2005 at a knifemaking class my blacksmith guild put on. It's been downhill ever since :)

I've posted some of my work here in the knife discussion forum before, but here's some of it rehashed for those who might not have seen it before.

This is my first damascus. Low layer count with a light twist. Macassar ebony scales and mosaic pins.

http://www.slackdot.org/gallery/d/10410-2/DSC02853mod.jpg

This one was the first knife I ever "sold" (it was donated to an auction for my blacksmith guild). It's a double bar twist damascus blade, 304SS hardware and a rosewood and ebony handle.

Anyways, I'll be hanging around and maybe listing some stuff fin the Bizarre as I get things done.

I'm signing in as a maker of the sharp and pointy things. I'm a sword maker with a few years experience and recently went full time with my crafting.

http://home.mchsi.com/~hermits/blackcross3.jpg

Right now I primarily work in the Japanese style and I'm creating some tanto and shortie wakizashi that have fairly traditional styled blades and patterns but there might be some wierd stuff coming along eventually.

And of course, I'll be posting pix of the occasional katana. I *do* love the long ones even if they do take me weeks to finish. :firedevil

Nice to be here and I hope to have some decent new stuff to show around over the next few weeks.

Would you look at that...it says "knifemaker" under my name!

I found it, this is where you let people know you might know how to make a knife, right. Ok you guys be the judge. I started about 2002 with a collaboration
with Walter Brend on a #2 Ti linerlock MA folder. I presented a change in his original MA design to a Ti frame-lock DA folder and made a trip to Walters shop. He liked the idea of a DA in a Ti frame-lock #2 handle and blade design. The only other maker to have done a DA frame-lock at that time was Butch Vallotton and it was his 98 or 99 SOF model . I showed the knife at the 2003 blade show. The knife was made for 2 years and then shit happens, I am back making the #2 DAs and MAs now along with a couple of other models. The kerambit was a collaboration with Reece Weiland and a fixed blade with Jerry H & Ray D.
THANKS FOR LOOKING.

Geist of Liontribe Designs here. i am finally getting back to grinding after a short sabbatical. i make mostly artsy, primitive inspired knives. i hate things that are too perfect and always leave some rough spots on every knife. it gives each one a character to me. of course, i also intentionally rusted the hell out of an old custom shovel because i hate chrome. i have a new series of blades coming out soon and i will be happy to show them off. soon, very soon.

Can you all see "The Swap Meet"? That is hidden from regular member's view and is for dealers, knife makers and all related members to network in.

Hey i am a new maker about 4 years or so. I was told by a great knifemaker that this is the best forum to get on and maybe even sell a knife. I have no clue as to where the dealer domain is and how to offer a few of my knives for sale. PLEASE HELP. Any and all help will be gratefully appreciated.

All it takes is to post some pictures and we can start there! :devilinheaven: There should be a written test but we grade on a curve :jdspam:

I'm already consider as knifemaker but i prefer to write a little word here. If you have a nice little banner from JD, that will be a pleasure to put it on my website :D
