Thanks a lot leatherman i appreciate it . I have a special little processs I use when I clay it , brings out all sorts of activity on most any high carbon steel. It kind of looks like damascus a little. By the way are you interested in making a sheath for it when I am done ?? My leather skills are about zero, used to making japanese knives and I just never developed any skills making leather sheaths. I can make a crude one but, I want something nice for this one . Drop me a line if you are interested .. best regards Bubba

I get use of the computer once or twice a day so 24 hours is sometimes a quick response for me. :bwah:

Bubba that is a nice looking knife and your choice of handle matieral really goes allong with it too. I do have a question for you though, if you do not mind, did you mean to cover up your thong hole?

yes I did . Initially I was going to put some mosaic tube , I thought it would dress it up some but, after I saw how nice the wood was , I decided to cover it up . I think it looks better . what do you think . I kind of like the utilitarian look of the handle ?? I guess a piece could be installed at some point in time ? bubba

I really like that knife. With the temper line and the wood handle it is a nice and simple design with just the right amout of aesthetics. I guess what I'm trying to say, from my perspective it is an attractive knife that I wouldn't be afraid to use. I look forward to seeing the end result. Cheers.

Got it sitting on my bench right now. :jdsmokin: I really like this one, the handle fills my hand real nice and the balance is just a bit blade heavy. Perfect for a mid sized bowie.
If I ever get caught up on bills, I'm going to look into one for myself. :RXX:
