subtitled - 'Yet another use for snow...'

When the days are short and cold, Devils and Devilettes need to ensure they make the best use of the hours available for work or play - this much we know...

So, today, instead of shoveling the driveway for the third time in as many days, I decided instead to get my priorities straight and shovel a path to the 550 gallon hot tub, which I did... :ropeman:

Once there, I cracked her open and ran a few tests...102'F, that's good. PH was a little high, we can fix that. Add a little Spa-Shok and Chlorine, check. Hmmm, the water level seems a little low; well, no worries, I'll just add a little...

WTF, damn, the faucet head is frozen solid, now what? Then, while standing there in two feet of Montana's finest powdered snow, snow shovel in hand, it hits me...'Hell, why not, it's just water by another name' :devilzide

Sure, the water temp quickly dropped 25% or so, and I needed to use the pond skimmer for a few minutes - but, in a few hours the tub will be a smoking 103'F above ambient temp, and now the path is cleared...

Snow, ya gotta love it :chuck:

That's awesome!

You are pretty damn resourceful! Necessity IS the Mother......

I need to get me a damn hot tub. It's been on the list for a couple years now... seems like my money is always going to something else tho.

I really DO need to make it happen. It would get a lot of use.... especially the day after a work out when my muscles are all stiff and sore.

Great post !!

Happy Snow Days!

I dunno if I'd go out in a hot tub with how it is here right now. It's not the -6 temp. It's the 30 mph winds.

Well, I had a long day today http://www.jerzeedevil.com/forums/showthread.php?t=47279 but still found time 'to tub'...it was a balmy 4'F today, and the tub felt great after spending most of the day outdoors...

ded i wants pics? Maybe tooommmooorrrooowww; we're going snowshoeing up in Glacier in the morn, so maybe not - in the mean time, :devilcorn:

My day was a ruff one too. I washed the truck after the flea mkt. I think tomorrow we'll go to daytona and play in the surf. It'll be a ghost town there, prob only about 75* All the crackers will be bundled up in their sweaters and long pants, looking out the windows with the heat turned up to 90.:firedevil

Damn, Cadi. That's harsh.
Paradise DOES have it's price, just ask 9 out of 10 Houston area residents after Ike blew through earlier this year, but it's still home. I STILL haven't finished repairing all of Ike's damage.

Aw, he knows I'm kidding. I lived in NC for a long while, dealt with Hugo (though I was 4) and Emily.
