My local sheriff is only required to issue 5 pistol permits a year per person and I exceeded my 5 and was granted two more for 7 total and that I would not get anymore in 2005. I used one for that Ruger Mk III Hunter and now I have used my last one. At a recent gun show I only had two guns caught my eye and they were both revolvers. Something my collection right now lacks. I was short on budget but the gun I picked has me waiting with anticipation. I went the single action route as it just seemed like I always enjoyed playing with those more and this one just has a nice biker stick it in your jeans vibe that makes me want to carry it around

This one will be in 357 magnum. The one at the show was a 45 colt so I got this one on Gunbroker.come when I got home

What is this bullshit about only issuing so many permits. Does this mean you have to have a permit for each handgun you purchase? That's crap. Cool gun though!

Get the wife to get you 5 more permits. I lived in Boone NC and their laws sucked but the Sheriff was a good one. What caliber are you going to get?

357 Magnum. I like being able to shoot 38s out of it.

I think a unfluted cylinder would be cool on it. Nice pistol anyway.

Same here in NJ, need a permit for each handgun purchase and the permit is only good for 90 days... :punish:

Sweet pistol TBG. I like the black grips with the stainless body, very classy.

I love Rugers, my first pistol I got for my 7th b day from my dad, a Ruger single six .22. Here's a pic of my Vaquaro next to my other Cowboy shoot gun, a US Firearms in .44 Special. The ruger is .44 Mag and I cut the barrel down to 4 inches then the ejector housing and rod to match.

They are THE BEST Colt copy bar none. Depending on what model you get they are finished as good if not better than a first gen Peacemaker. My dad has four of them now and this was my first, been shootin it for a couple years now. Had my dad tune the action and install a spring kit for me. I love it.

What communist country do you guys live in? Permits? Limits? Sheriffs knowing your business?

In the free state of Mississippi we buy as many as we want, as often as we want and for what ever reason we want!!!!!!!!!

We have a lot of faults here but at least we are FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I do think it is fair to say that North Carolina is a shall issue state and with a valid NC CHP you do not require a purchase permit and there is no limit to how many guns you can get. I am carrying on my VA permit and the plan was to do so until it expires as I have to go to another class and pay some cash and do some fingerprinting all over again.

I decided I was done with this purchase permit shit and called up the school my wife went to for her certification so I can get my NC CHP permit. Then I don't have to worry about even getting a background check done.
