Just received a very well packaged parcel from the states courtesy of David Farmer.

Upon seeing his first sales thread I PMd and asked if he could make me a knife similar to one of those he'd sold. He took this up and gave me what I thought was a very reasonable price. All the way along the comms were good and I got regular updates and was always told that as he did it by eye and didnt use templates then if it wasnt exactly what I wanted he would start again...now thats a commitment from a pro, let alone a hobbyist!

He posted it on the 18th and 6 working days later they arrive in the UK, needless to say impressed just by that :)

The knife itself is perfect, no idea what it'll be used for, but I likes it :thefinger





The really amazing part is when I was unpacking the postage box, inside seemed to be another package which has a few small knives in it. My first thought was that this was a mistake, but a quick PM established that they were some of David's early work and he thought I could make use of them...too darn right I can :wes:

Well what can I say, apart from 'proper job' AND greenie the guy to the heavens as he deserves it!

Got an EDC made EXCLUSIVE (YEAH RICKIES!:cadi:) for me from Dave, and a smaller EDC. Both are very very very well made, and yes, while Dave is a humble man:jduh:, when it comes to his craft, he is a damn fine knife maker and leather worker. I thought his sheaths were too thin, but very nicely made. Showing my new knives off at last nights CBKC meeting, I was informed that they were pretty damn good by several makers. I knew they were good, but didn't know how good :ronl:. I should be saying his knives suck so his prices stay low :popcorn:, but man, this guy is one talented sumbitch. Also, his customer service is excellent. Will definitely buy from in the future.
