I do not mean to sway this OT, but what happened to the Socom?

It was my pride and joy, my first born son. And also my favorite knife. It was a black 5/99 Socom DA tanto. It was my EDC for over a year, and one day at work I reached for it, and it was gone. I thought for a while that I might have forgotten to bring it to work with me, but it never showed up. That was around Christamas time. I have finally gotten to the point where I am ready to move on. I would love to have another Socom DA, whereas I really don't care for the elites. But I don't think I can find one for cheap anymore. I paid $250 for it, still new in box in 2003 after 4 years. They still have never made anymore, so I'm SOL me thinks.

Large regualar and classic are running $385 (single thumb stud) and $420 for a double thumb stud.

*That price does not include shipping*

If you watch some of the forums. . . .you can pick them up for $250 - $275. Then send it to CRK for a refurb. Their charge to refurbish (sand blast) the handles slabs is $23. You can also have them polish or retumble the blade for $23 (this also includes a resharpening).

Why don't you send a sebbie down to Florida for a little "private passaround." Send it to me, I'll try it for a few years, and see how I like it. I can send it back when I'm done with it. http://jerzeedevil.com/forums/images/smilies/003.gif
