Fantastic pictures.

This really brings to the eye what all goes into making sheaths... Someone like myself who hasnt ever made one really can begin to appreciate this art by looking at how meticulous sheath making is.

A rare peek indeed inside the shop of a true master of the trade.

Now, where do I get one of those nifty potato peelers Sandy?! :cheesydevil:

Thanks, Stephen, the pics are great! Do you think I ought to charge Miller for the beer advertisement? That is the miracle fluid that lubricates my arthritic fingers-----------Sandy

Sandy, what brand thread are you feeding the 3000? I helped a newbie set up his new 3000 today and the 277 Linhanyl from Brazil shipped with the machine from Artisan really sucks. It twisted so badly coming off the spool that the knots clogged up the tension adjuster and shut the servo motor down????? It looks like you are enjoying great service from yours.

Stephan, I couldn't see much of the knife, but what I could make out, I really liked. How about a picture or two of that knife?......and since it's in the sheath forum you can set the sheath beside it.

Paul, the thread I currently am using is size 277 nylon. Both spools were purchased from Tippman. The needle thread spool is black and only identifies itself as from Tippmann and is a one pound spool. The bobbin thread is on a half pound brick red spool and says it is Lindhanyl-USA made in Brazil. The Brazilian thread has a yellow tint I do not care for. Neither spool is listed as a right or left hand twist and I have no entanglements on either.

Dwayne, the "potato peeler" is actually a skifeknife from Tandy made by Osbourne and is ABSOLUTELY indispensible in my shop-----Sandy
