Did you know Robert Duvall is a fine singer? Well, Wikipedia doesn't, and neither did I. I did a ton of YouTube downloading of Emmylou Harris songs today, and I stumbled into this:

Needless to say, I like it a lot, and not only because of Emmylou.

Robert Duvall is really a great actor. His singing, I thought, was well know as he won an Academy Award for Tender Mercies in which he sang quite a bit!

Wow, I had no idea. Duvall is one of the best actors of our time, easily.

What I also like with this clip is that he makes a mistake - he starts too early on the second block, and has to sing "I love to tell to tell the story" to fall in line with Emmylou who starts later and on time, but he covers it so professionally that you think it ought to be that way. It happens to us musicians all the time that we have to cover our blunders by continuing as if the blunder was part of the scheme, and he does it brilliantly.
