I never really liked Jack Cafferty from CNN, but I have to take my hat off to him for this! :bruce:

Didn't we used to shoot communists when they protested in the streets? :bang:
Maybe it's time again.
I can't believe they are waving communist flags in the streets of America. This is beyond ridiculous. This country is done. :gzb:
Shit. Is this a political thread?

Hey, this is LA. Home of La Raza and a La Raza mayor. Why should a few communist flags be out of place here?

Who would've thought that after all this time, we'll soon be able to dust of the old 'Eat lead, you pesky Red' tshirts.
Gotta love this spotlight that has been turned on China since they got the Olympics. I certainly appreciate the 'flame wardens' they have. Can just imagine if the US get the Olympics again and send teams of CIA or NSA guys all over the world to protect the flame.

I agree with most of what the protesters are sayin that they cannot be judge by their governments beliefs just as we cannot be all classified by ours....however right now the Chinese gov is committing some horrible human atrocities that they should not be overlooked, but it is unfair of us to judge Chinese society upon their corrupt government

I think where we go wrong is to not use our economy as a weapon. A month of buying nothing from and exporting nothing to China would be a good little test.

How do the comments made on CNN portray the Chinese people negatively when it's was obviously comments made about their government?

That would shut down a shitload of USA corporations - and we'd be in huge poopies if China decided to call in US debts ... :yesman:

In any war, someone must pay.... it is usually the poor soldier, why not have the corporations pay up for a month?

And who will make them do that ? our "government" ? \corporate America gets bailed out - they have the power and the newly appointed court majorities in their pockets. They make the mess and we get sick, poor, and die trying to clean up after them ...

Damn, now I have to do all the work too? Look, I am just a little voice from a far off land. Hiding out in a little village where I am know as, "The American" and where I fight a never ending battle for Right, Justice and The American Way! The news today is that China is having a wave of anti-French demonstrations. They don't like the way the Olympic Flame was attacked in Paris, the fact that Sarkozy has not committed to attending the Opening Ceremony and the French Olympic athletes tried to initiate the wearing of a civil rights pin on their sweats. The Chinese are talking of boycotting the large French department stores in China and also French goods. You know that if there are demonstrations in China, they have to be government supported. Why not hold back some goods ourselves. Like the grain they need to make up their harvest shortfalls? Stir the empty pot a bit! Come on, revolution is in the air, savor it! Or, is that the smell of repression? Hard to tell from here.
