He was quite clear in what he was asking, what he wanted to happen and what she needed to do. She refused, she took the ride. If she wants to have someone listen in on the traffic stop, fine. She dialed her call, made contact, all she has to do is put the phone down and take care of business.

This is one of many, many stories that are hitting the news lately. People are really not taking to the tazers well. I personally would rather be tazed than beaten with a stick, or pulled around by my arms, shoulders, neck or maced. But that's just me. This is always a very heated and polarized argument.

Some people just won't listen. As for a private citizen doing this, it's a different matter...Police are authorized, trained and responsible for taking actions beyond what regular citizens do. What if this arrogant "rules don't apply to me" person wasn't stopped, and as she was speeding through your neighborhood talking on her phone, ran over your child?

The officer followed policy, was clear in his directions, and used the minimum force needed to do his job.

Well perhaps the Officer felt threatend as well. He stated the initial traffic violation and she blew him off. he then discovered that she was driving with a suspended license and tried (in a very patient and calm manner) arrest her. She again blew him off. In a Split second a officer life can be taken away in such a situation. Shes over reacting over something this small.... IS she hiding something? Is she trying to lure me into the car and step on the gas so I can be dragged and maybe die(car was still running)?perhaps shes a cracked out druggie with a needle and wanting to stick me with it (AIDS.... Hiv....). blah blah list goes on.

And if she was afraid because she saw a similar video and was afraid the same will happen to her.. well then ummmm why be a straight up bitch? wouldn't you want to avoid such a thing (even more so if you seen it happen)? why provoke it to happen? The officer acted as he was trained. He didn't shot her in the face with it. He warned her several time after trying to direct her what to do.

If you were being mugged or robbed and the criminal sticks you up with a gun and theres nothing you can do about it. would you be a dick? if he "told" you to get on the ground would you stand there and make a phone call? your you think twice?.. lets say if you did ingnore him and not get down the criminal then states Get on the ground Or I WILL SHOOT YOU. is that quite clear? lets say for the whole time your being a dick to the criminal... (therefore clarifying that you do indeed understand english) and even after he told you to get down or he will shoot you ignore him.... then he shoots you... would u really be surprised? (I understand this a criminal and is more likely to shoot you then a cop but then again the cop had a taster gun not a real gun so it evens out. )

Over all there could of been many many many outcomes. but the officer was clear in his directions. and took action at the time he did to assure that the outcome was safe for her, his partner, himself and the general publics. Perhaps she could of taken off and hit a few kids crossing the street. if that happened would the officer be able to live with him self... (I could of tased her but instead I tried to calm her down,, you know because she wasn't really being a bitch, it was really my fault I over reacted not her........ and then she took off.... But I do not believe cops should be allowed to use that level of force merely to enforce compliance and re-enforce thier authority.

Stoping a violent crime in progress or protecting themselves all bets are off. Ms Ebony breast 2006 did not rise to that level. I just don't think a citizen in the USA should be subject to tasering for not doing what a cop says. Obvious exceptions are when someone other than a volunteer for pain (cops) stands a chance of injury.

The big thing is getting over the fact that COPS are not nobility. Its not like they are EMTs or Fireman. Those emergency workers do the work because they want to help. Cops have other reasons...like getting to throw thier weight around and caring a gun.
