I was wondering what people planned to do. I know what I have been considering so I thought I would throw a poll out there.

Heck, isn't the whole purpose of this to bail out financial institutions? Everyone is in debt and while I would like to spend it on something else, this is what I have to do!
It would be really cool though if everyone just spent it in the shadow economy and it never resurfaced. Like on moonshines of different persuasions, illicit women and men, etc, just one big, big under the radar party!!!

While I wish I could just spend it on something fun, I'll likely have to pay a bill (or bills) with it.

I'll probably save it 'til the 1st Saturday in May and bet a chunk of it on the Kentucky Derby. The rest to fill up my gas tank and buy Casper some doggie toys and treats.

I am kind of torn between knives and firearms right now. I do like the idea of it being "underground" so none of it goes to sale tax and whatnot. So it looks like I'll be buying something from somebody here, or the gunshow...

Put it in a CD and wait until next year to use it to repay itself. It's just a loan on next year's taxes, or whatever you wanna call it. As I don't normally get but about $300 back from the Federal taxes, I'll end up owing a shit ton of money in February of next year.

some new Criterions and maybe a Tre Kroner...
and some rare jazz CD's that run a little pricey...
Credit cards. Then I'll be totally free, well not totally but somewhat clear of debt.

I'm still wondering why the Fed didn't save on stamps and just mail one big check with a lot of zero's to China ?
Cheaper in the long run , isn't it ?
Buying votes and thinking they'll go cheap is what it looks like.
Me................. I'm buying ammunition.:bwah:
Never know when the black helicopter is gonna show up.:ropeman::jdwink2:
Actually , I will be spending a good chunk on ammo.
We are slowly putting together a shoot for this spring with some friends and co-workers.
I have a 7 m.m. ultra mag that gets pricey and a co - worker has a Barrett that he hasn't fired over 200 yds. yet.
I have a buddy with a 900 yd. range in his back yard and I will be shooting a bit of everything I suspect.

I'm with Tubtar on this one. Started investing in precious metals, i.e. copper lead and brass. I might actually get a Lee progressive loader and all the trimmings, considering the amount of Lake City Brass I have laying around.
Aside from that, probably gonna spend some of it at the bix box store on beans, rice, wheat, and sugar. Need some more O2 absorbers too.

I just don't want it to go back to the chinese. You should have to spend it on American goods.

I don't know why we don't all pool our 'economic stimulus packages' and buy a bunch of MegaMillion lottery tickets? I think it's up to $150,000,000.00 for tomorrow night. :bwah:

I won't see a nickel. Ah well. I'm debt free, and God as my witness, until mortgage time I am going to STAY that way.
I second the comments on Buy American, though. Yeah, I piss and moan about buying expensive jeans, but Lucky jeans are one of the few companies I can find anymore that are made on our shores. So I deal.

I still can't believe the total stupidity of the whole thing. but prob guns, I think we're gonna need them. :punish::boboli::loandr::marty::honcho::langston:
WTF????
As I understand it, this $$$ is an advance. Why the hell would the feds send out money that people don't have in pocket now, only to owe even more come next year at tax time???? I have enough debt, I don't need Uncle Sam on my ass too!!! Maybe I don't clearly understand it, but as far as I'm concerned, there is no such thing as free money. Whatever is sent my way, will be put aside to pay that debt back. :twocents:

Well, after talking to a few breeders and finding out the prices (:deadevil:), it'll all just go to bills, likely. The breeder in Atlanta I found does first generation Tonkinese, and includes all the shots AND the spay/neuter in the price, but... Still too much... ah well... someday....

Well if we find one for a decent price, maybe that Tonkinese she keeps going on and on and on and on about, hehe. Otherwise, I like the idea of picking up a reasonably priced gun. But after that(or likely before that), it'll be going to bills mostly. We got's us some debt to get out of.

Both my income tax refund and this "stimulus package" will be used to pay down credit cards. Plus I still owe my dad $350 for a plane ticket in December. Not very exciting, I know...

The IRA is Sinn Fein and the last of the Provos are too radical and / or criminal to get involved with.
