Hey Gang,
I would first like to thank all of you that requested this project.
I have never considered myself an industry powerhouse or anyone special in the industry. I am Flattered that so many of you wanted me to make a " Mike 01 " Knife.
This Knife is very special to me. I like knives that are Guardless and heavily built for Field Use. the Full size Montana is my personal Favorite of our large knives and a lot of knife for Medium game.
The Mini- Montana Guide is my interpretation of the right size for most hunting situations. It is about a 2/3rd scale version and is easy to pack and carry.
I gave this project a lot of thought and realized that a lot of these Custom knives will be collected and some will actualy be used.
My choice of materials and construction was based on both of these considerations.
I know that a lot of you would think that I woulod have chosen A-2 for this project but I chose 12C27 at 58+ Rockwell.
I have had Sterling results with it when it is Heat Treated to my Specs and there is enough blade mass to actually get Perfect Geometry. These will Suprise you and they will cut like lasers and still be easy to touch up the edge.
Here is a Group shot of the knives.

The Balance Point of this knife is just behind the actual center of the knife. You will find it very comfortable in sustained use.
Please let me know what you think of these.
They are all sold to the dealers and are on the way. You can order these from any of our dealers.
Thanks again,
