Description: Koji Hara is considered one of, if not the top, custom knife maker in Japan Koji Hara of Japan has been making custom knives since 1980. Mr Hara is a voting member of the Knifemakers Guild and his work is known world wide. His designs are pieces of art and fit and finish second to none. His skilled technique and artistic sense creates a masterpiece in all of his knives. This knife is no longer in Koji's stock and are only made by special order unless you find one on someone's web site for sale cost from Koji would be 850.00 plus cost and risk of international shipping,not a mention a lengthy wait. Don't pass up this dream knife. These don't come around often for sale on the secondary market, There was a smaller model of the same knife on e-bay a few weeks back in auction, search and use that for a reference point for pricingIt sold for over 800.00 ( i think)
THIS KNIFE IS A "TRUE HARA CUSTOM" It is NOT a House of Hara production knife, or BUCK/HARA Although it should be known that all of Koji's work is impeccable. If the blade does NOT have a koi fish on it, it NOT a custom, it's a production Hara
This is Koji's "Atlanta Lady" folding liner lock model with Stainless Cowry blade steel and 420 stainless steel liners. The contoured 420 stainless steel handle is incredibly inlayed with 28 pieces of Mosaic iridescent Abalone insets on each side. Pearl inlayed thumb stud, Buttery/ smooth/slick opening and closing, this is a true piece of art.
