Let me begin my little tale of woe with 4 yrs ago I bought a new grill. Boy was I proud to have it too. Stainless steel base, heavy cast body, it was a thing to behold. Made by a company called Ducane. Kinda like the Cadillac of grills. Mine was a base model, nothing special, but mine non the less. I was tired of buying the ones for a buck and change and them rotting out in 2 years and tossing them. Knew somebody and got a nice deal at about 450 for the grill , 2 tanks , and the cart with 10 free refills. Happy days!!!!!!

Mail in the warranty card with the 60 bucks for a LIFETIME ON EVERTHING!!!! I figure how the fuck can I go wrong, right? Wrong!!!!! The cocksuckers were bought by those crap eating motherfuckers Weber, who is now telling me my warranty is NULL and VOID!!!! They no longer make parts for ANY of the grills that were made before 04. How the hell can they get away with this? Mothershitters...... So much for my moment of brilliance...

So now I had to pay 18 bucks for the warming rack because mine was a little fucked from all of the heat. Basically I am here to say that a warranty means nothing whenever someboby wants it to mean nothing... Fuck them for fucking me!!!!!:dammit:

Write letters and emails, I know it sounds lame but they do read their shit, and tell them you want your 60 bucks back. Spam every fuckin day. I did this to direct-TV and they gave me 2 free receivers after one of them fucked up and they tried to give me the shaft. It took 2 months of spam and enraged calls, but I got my shit!!!

When I talked to them on the phone, I should say "Adam", he told me "yeah, lotta people are angry, but it dosen't matter because that is the way it is". I was like "you gotta be fucking kidding me right? I can't even get my money back for the warranty? No sir, you can't seeing as Ducane no longer exists. But you guys are still selling Ducane Grills. Yes sir, but we are making them now. It is a different grill with the name. WTF!!!!!!! greedy corporate cocksuckers.... Like they really need my 60 bucks...


I might have to try the spam thing tho, might go somewhere.... At least maybe a new grill that would be covered under their warranty, until they get bought that is:atyou:

That sucks big time Spuf! I always bought those little hibatchi type grills for about $5.99. Every few years I'd buy a new one 'cause the wooden handles on the grills would burn up! :-D My next door neighbor gave me his old propane grill when he bought a new one. By the time I finally used it... wasps had built a nest in it! He has actually used the grill more than me. His new grill gave him all kinds of trouble & he'd ask me if he could use his old grill. :-D I'll have to ask him if his new one is a Weber!

I had NO idea Ducane was acquired by Weber. I always admired Ducanes, but it was Webers that I purchased. I have a Genesis 1000 (used nearly daily since 1997) and a brand-new Weber large kettle, as well as one of their table-top gas portables for the river/lake/beach.

Never had ANY problems, and I thrash my grills!

LOL....In Detroit he makes ribs and collects people who tip very nice! :bow: Famous Dave's actually has won hundreds of awards for his sauces which you can buy. HIs side dishes like his "Drunkin' apples" which are made with Amiretto, and his potato salad have won tons of awards too. He is an author and rich as a mother fucker! Anyway...his BBQ sauces fucking rock! :bow:

After further research I see Famous Dave's in Roseville is highly regarded!
I shall add that to my list of "must visit" should I ever find myself in Greater Michigan.

Sucks, my Mom is a manager of a QVC outlet, I got a Bose wave radio from her for x-mas that she got with some good employee buck things they have at her work. The CD player did not work right out of the box. Warranty no good, she paid with store bucks, and is a QVC employee! I have a bijillion $$$ sorround sound system from Bose, Bose in my Yukon. Done finished, stop! Fuck Bose right in there cornbread ass holes!! :dammit:

Little update I found out today. Ducane went bankrupt and closed , Weber bought the name and tooling to make part and grills so they don't have to hold up the warranty because " we didn't get the money for it so why should we?". Bottom line is I am beat and they suck:atyou:

I can't fucking believe Ducane is OOB. They were like one of the premier prizes on Price is Right when I was a kid!
