I have always liked those Unertl 10x scopes but none were ever sold to civilians as far as I know.

U.S. Optics now makes that scope for the USMC and is authorized for repair work on the original Unertls. Thats what is supposed to go on my M40A1.
I have seen them for around $2300-2500, hence the Mk4 on my rifle. HTH.

Man, a M-40A1! Could you share some history with us? All I could do was look at Peter Senichs books and drool. A friend has a M-73 rifle that Mitch WerBell made up but as cool as it is we both wanted a M-40.
