USA Today Flash Animation (http://www.usatoday.com/news/graphics/pope_election/flash.htm)

This was a pretty interesting rundown on the how-to of electing a new Pope. It also shows a little bit of information about the most likely candidates.

wasn't Pope John Paul the youngest pope ever elected?

Pope John Paul II was the youngest of the 20th century, but not the youngest ever.

One thing about electing someone in their 70s, you don't have to worry about them being in office a really long time. It ensures a frequent turnover. Remember, even though the issues are religious in nature, it is still essentially a political position.

I guess. since it involves me, I really cant cast a vote. If you or any one else wants to post a poll in filibuster or Devils Discussion, I would not object. but either way, I would still be curious as to the results.

technicaly, neither of us should vote in this. to be fair, since you made the initial suggestion for me to be kicked in the nuts, you should post the poll. neither of us should vote in it though. this way, only the people not involved in this (I still have no clue why you made that comment) would vote, thus having unbiased results. then again, if we both vote, are votes will cancell each other out.
On second thaught either way is fine with me. open or closed poll?

I vote for a double kick, you both take a swing at the same time and whoever falls first, loses.

oh, and they also get to chose the pope on the way down to the ground.

Now we need to get around the problem that the 2 parties involved live on opposite sides of America ;)

virtual reality. design a special device that straps around your nuts and it hooked up via internet to a kick pad on the other side. you both have a kick pad and a nut strap, then you both kick the pads and the rest goes on as said above...

You want a poll, post one. Not interested to be honest. Just putting in my vote for you to take a shot to the ball-zac, thats all.

Ladies, Fish, and Gentlemen,

Looks like the same bunch sorry of losers that elected the last Pope. I'm really cornfused about this pope business. It seems they pick some dolt who extorted money from the unknowing somewhere, and then make him act like Jesus or something. If the guy is so fucking holy, then why ain't he alive and walking on water? My wife asked me the other day how he died. I told it was obvious, "The strain was more than he could bear".

My regards to the Catholics, but this pope thingy is really unnecessary.

To the Protestants: Another one bites the dust!

To Dalai Llama: You saw them die before, right?

To George Bush: 1/2 staff for a non-fucking-American?

To Condoleeza: I bet you still have a tight .......

Best regards,

Bonz
