Hey guys,
Does anyone here have any experience with shipping automatic knives internationally? I've got a customer that wants to buy one of my knives but lives in Mallorca, Spain. Any help would be appreciated.
Regards,

I did alot of shipping of autos overseas in the past using USPS. At first I would just mark the customs slip "pocket knife" and they would get to their destination. I found out it was a major federal no-no if I got busted exporting "prohibited weapons". Then I ended shipping w/o spring installed, sent in a seperate envelope, to the buyers knowledge of course, and they would have to install it.
The 5.00 global priority envelopes are good to use for your shipping if you use a thin bubble wrap and a cardboard outer shell.
That was in the past now I only ship inconus.:-D

Yes, DHL is a great way to ship "optical tools".

Yo, I send stuff overseas by Global Priority Mail. Do not list anything
as a knife, try small parts.or sunglasses,or a cowboy belt buckle.
Also be careful how the customer wants it insured, some countries charge
a tax on overseas purchases, and the customer will want to insure it for less
than the actual value to save some on the tax(Germany is bad 40%).
It only comes back bad,if the knife gets lost, then you get the lesser
declared amount.
