Anyone who is disabled to the point that getting dressed by themselves can be a difficult thing that requires all their concentration is accomplishing much by competing in the Special Olympics. Because of this, everyone who participates is a winner. Anyone who knows someone who is mentally challenged, cares.

I don't want JD to become some sterile, politically correct crap site but I just couldn't let this pass. No offense intended.

The video is incomplete. Something happened prior to the LEOs subduing this guy. I don't like what I saw in the video either, however we did not see the events leading up to what appears to be rough treatment of a senior citizen. I am law enforcement biased, with that said, I have a problem with your conclusions minus the complete knowledge of the events that occurred. As far as your desire to defend yourself against cops that are on super ego trips and abuse their power, you are at a severe disadvantage in this arena. Being right will not help much, as you have already experienced at least once. Fortunately, the vast majority of LEOs are decent hard working people that are trying to do a job that has become almost unworkable. Keep in mind that cops get killed doing their job, so they don't often have the luxury of do-overs. Decisions are made and the number one concern is to prevent unnecessary risk and injury to all concerned. Sometimes that means subduing an old man and ending any potential threat, even one from a guy that YOU don't see as a threat. I have seen a guy in a wheel chair that was pushin 80 stab his nurse in the face with a bic pen. The wound required plastic surgery. Three sides to every story, we only got one so far...Al
