View Full Version : I got to play with glowy metal today!

I am NO good with plants... so when I can keep one alive, it gets special treatment. I repotted my prayer plant, and needed some way to hang it inside... something long, since it shouldn't have direct light. And since I need to pull it down easily to water it and spray it, I wanted something stiff. Found some 1/8" steel rods at the hardware store and was just gonna bend the end over into a hook, but then me and Syn were talking... and I decided to play and make the end that becomes the hook into a braid. Wasn't easy, but it WAS fun to do.

It's good to have a hubby that'll help me with this kind of thing. :jdsmokin:

No... it was just plain rods, just like the bottom of it that I'm holding...

It was fun, we had a good time.

If you think thats a nice workshop you have to realize one thing that really pushes it over the top. That white behind Kat in the pic?
Thats my beer fridge :kingkaxt: , the orange one is the old beer fridge that died on me. My wife and her Mom went out and got me the brand new one for an early Christmas present. I'll have to post some more pictures of the shop. Maybe I can get Kat to pose all hottie like on some of the bigger tools :jdwink2:
