Hi All!
Here is a pic of my weekend shoot with my new Remington ADL 30.06. It was grouping nicely, I am very happy. My Buddy Colin on the other side of me is shooting an M1 Garand 30.06 from WWII. It was a neat gun to shoot. :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Thanks everyone for your kinds words, it's great to share your toys with those that can appreciate them. As far as the weather goes.....it's paradise now, but could you handle 10 months of 90 degree weather? Margaritas do ease the pain of Paradise living. :D :D
Before I got my ADL, I all I had to hunt with was this:

Actually this was my first deer this year, hence the new deer rifle. You see, we don't wear shorts ALL of the time. :poke: :-D :-D :-D :-D

Here's my Bushmaster Dissapator AR15 up close. It has an Eotech red dot type holographic optics system on a Knight's Armament Rail system and a few other goodies here and there.

Ultrareef,
That looks like the range in Del Rio.
You should keep your shoulder off the stock when benchrest shooting.
Just add bags under the butt, keep off the stock about two inches.
It makes it a whole lot more comfortable.

Thanks for the jabs and kudos guys....I enjoy a good ribbing!! BTW, it was 88 degrees here yesterday! :doublefu: :doublefu: :punish: :punish: :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D
My next project is going to keep me poor over the next few months. It is another AR15...so I will have one for my friends to shoot and one for me. Or if the Shit hits the fan, one for each shoulder! :-D :-D :-D :-D
The rifle is made by a company called Lewis Machine and Tool (LMT). Apparently lots of special forces and such recommend them along with alot of members at www.ar15.com another forum I like to hang out in.

Here are the optics I want, they have just been picked up by the US Marines as their official battle scope. They can take a direct drop and still function accurately.

If you pay the tax and go with a less than 16 inch barrel don't get one with a 11 inch one, it looks nice but it will kill your ears and the blast is something else even with military ammo.

No problem there. Don't ever see myself getting anything less than 16 inches. I like a little velocity with my rifle rounds :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Sorry Ben...I was never in the military and never had anyone slapping my balls everytime I said gun instead of rifle. :gogdog: :gogdog:
I also call cartridges bullets and shells. But I understand, in times of war of even extreme urgency it is best to be able to communicate with the correct terms. I beg for your forgiveness. Rest assured I do follow safe firearms handling techniques and never have more than one gun around and I sure as hell don't take pictures of it. :gogdog: :-D :-D :-D :-D

Oh yea, my brother was a Marine in Desert Storm, so he slapped me a few times for calling rifles guns. :hityou: :-D
At any rate,
here is a pic of my AR15 getting smoked at the indoor range. :punish: :-D :-D :-D

I forgot, you guys need the range in Texas. The parts I've been to down there are too darn flat for me but you Texans make up for it. Real fine people except for the knife dealers down there.
