The former Ms. Dick ....... or the artist currently known as Ms. I , you know her........ you love her.
She gave me an idea in one of her welcomes to a new member here.
She took pieces of our interaction and when I read it , I thought it would make for a fine band name.
Ladies and Gentlemen , can I get a warm New Jersey welcome for " The Tittie Loving Turd Burglars "
Of course , you wouldn't be seeing them on Lawrence Welk ........ but playing Jay's Longhorn or The Union Bar , they would rule.
Sometimes the truth is stranger than fiction ........ we had a local group going as " The Fucked Up Shit Biscuits " , and " The Butthole Surfers "
have had their day in the sun and are excellent live.
Who else should we be looking for or be sorry we missed ?
Nashville Pussy ? B.T.D.T.
Who else ?

'The Hip 'Lifestyle', Jaded, Obscures'... and the "The" is crucial... with out the "The" the whole things falls apart...
covers most of the crap over the last 10 years...
after all who gives a damn about musicians or songwriting... crap like that... majority of idiots listening couldn't tell the difference anyway...it's about a 'look' and a 'hip lifestyle' association... and a cool name... it's all in the name...

There's no topping "Titty Loving Turd Burglars," although I'd go for the alliteration of "Titty Twisting Turd Burglars," which trips off the tongue little nicer. I'll have to save mo other observations, as I have stayed up much too late being a difficult asshole tonight.

I've always loved Dumpy's Rusty Nuts (http://www.dumpysrustynuts.net/).
I saw Dumpy perform in Southampton (UK) back around 1984-85. Sounds like they are still kicking ass.

there were a couple of local bands up in Clemson, one was Dirty Blonde Choad, and the other was The Felchers... The Felchers had a vw squareback spraypainted and had about a million drinking straws duct taped to it...
I used to work with a guy named Hollywood Mole that played bass in Dirty Blonde Choad, i had a tape he gave me, don't know how I could've misplaced it?

Led Zeppelin and the origins of the name and how they did after they got the name make it an all time classic.
Its not quite as commercial as Anal Cunt, but I think it worked :bwah:

I agree wholeheartedly! I for one am glad Keith Moon was wrong when he stated Jimmy and the boys would go down like a lead Zeppelin.
What a tool!!! :bobert:
O.K., in re-reading the title of this thread I see now where these crazy names are coming from!!!! :bobert: My bad. I thought the title was "name of your all time favorite bands", it's not. :ram:
In which case, I'll have to think up some names.

Dumpy's are indeed still performing and STILL doing "Silver Machine" like it was their own!
A friend of mine was in a band called "Ginger Pissflaps", it was kinda funny when they opened for "Zodiac Mindwarp"!

There really was a Root Boy Slim and the Sex Change Band back in the 80s... I don't think I ever heard but maybe one song by them - have no idea what they sounded like, but I now regret never buying the album when it was around, just so I'd have it archived for posterity. Anybody got that one on mp3?

I have been a huge Cramps fan for many years.............their live shows are epic.
And with a front man named Lux Interior , would you expect any less ?
That would be Poison Ivy Rorschach on guitar and Nick Knox was their drummer in the early days .
They have had a variety of bass players , but Candy DelMar was my favorite.................she was so hot , you'd get a boner just watching her chew gum.
I bet they still kick ass on stage.

You have all already mentioned some of my favorte bands and band names. But I'll add a few sexually expilicit or just fun band's I like such as "Killer Pussy", "Cycle Sluts from Hell", "The Meatmen", "Peter and the Test Tube Babies", "Crass", "Penetration", "Splodge" and "The Poison Girls". All real band names. And possibly the most fucked up and bizarre band GWAR who once fed me to their World Maggot and whose lead singer Oderus Urungus and guitarist Balsac the Jaws of Death could double team me anytime. This is a good thread.

And of course , the Meat Puppets.
It was these guys who introduced me to my mortality when at 39 yrs. of age , I twisted my ankle in the mosh pit.
As I was hobbling out of the madness , I looked around and saw that I was without a doubt , out of my realm.
Bastards !

Love the Meat Puppets. Anyone from Baltimore or DC have an Red Die Number Nine tracks? Anyone from Maine have any Blenderhead tracks? These are 2 bands whose names and music I love but have since lost my cassettes of their music and now I can't get them anywhere

I used to have that album.
Boogie Till You Puke was the hit.
I walked in a collector record store a few months ago and asked if they had it, they didn't.
I always thought The Revolting Cocks was a charming band name.

While not in the same league as "Steaming Wolf Penis" (that one's classic), how about 'The Supersuckers' and 'The Bastard Sons of Johnny Cash'....

Supersuckers are another great band........... I've always thought that their song " Born with a Tail " should be the J.D. theme song.
If you have any feelings for Les Paul's through Marshall's , you'll love them.
Props sent for that one.

You gotta love "The Sacrilicious Sounds of the Supersuckers" as an album title too. And, if I remember right, the album art featured a devil.
