Next friday I fly to New York and I need some help with some "YOU HAVE TO SEE ____________ WHILE YOU ARE THERE!" I'm staying at 87th and Central Park West if this helps?!?!? Never been there and I can't wait.

My father in law is working on "Christo and Jeanne-Claude's The Gates at Central Park".

I have a small list of stuff I want to do but I thought I would ask for some cool places that my Guide books might not mention.
Yankee Stadium
Coney Island
Empire State Building
Statue of Liberty

Hey D-Boy,
"I have a small list of stuff I want to do but I thought I would ask for some cool places that my Guide books might not mention.
Yankee Stadium
Coney Island "
Yankee Stadium is located in a slum area. Considering baseball season is over, there's nothing for you to see there.
Coney Island is closed for the winter (it is also located in a slum area)
Stick with the usual tourist traps, Times square, Rockerfeller Center, South Street Seaport., China Town, Little Italy. Depending on how long you're staying in NY, you might want to hop on a bus and go to Atlantic City. (Jersey dies have some good things!)

That sucks! I hear you can still get tours of yankee stadium even in the winter.
Coney Island - Maybe next time!
Thanks for the other spots!

Check out the Museum of Natural History. If you're into that kind of stuff it's just about the best in the world. Oh yeah, and don't miss the MOMA.

And Dirty Mike's downtown on Rector St. P.S. I did the reno in the Empire about 2 1/2 years ago on the Observation Deck. Sunrise in the summertime up there is phenomenal!!! Wintertime, very windy and cold
