Children's Art Rules! **Child Safe**

If possible - please post a pic of your child along with his/her post!

Children have an honest and direct reaction to everything they encounter and it shines in their art. Let's get a look at it.

Manganr & his daughter, Issy, started this when they posted on the other **Child Safe** thread.

You knew I'd have to post this one.

Many years ago, it seems, my son made this drawing of me on his chalkboard easel - wearing a diaper and his VFW cap.

He started with the eyes, neck and shoulders, and then proceeded to the esophagus, lungs and stomach, explainting to me all the while what he was working on.

He's still fascinated with how things work and, recently, you'd have thought it was Christmas when he received a packet of materials from a West Coast Lab about Fusion and the TOKAMAK research facilities!

Its been framed on my wall ever since.

She's grown now. She's like 20 or 30 or something now.

I'm kicking myself in the head as I post. She is a straight "A" student who just was refussed acceptance to the National Honors Society because her lack of leadership and community envolvement. Guess we are to busy making art to think of getting recognition.

Human pixels from around the globe are evidence of her envolvement. Just wish we had remembered to include this information. DUH:wtf2:

:welcome: laf&grin It's good to see you & your smart & talented daughter! Her pixels are really nice! What a brilliant project Peter Smuts has going.

laf&grin is a High Performance Woman who has designed & completed projects for the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities, She raises two teenagers while her military husband is away in Bosnia, Gitmo & "the desert." She can fix a toilet or install a hardwood floor and look GOOD the whole time. She's trained in graphics & photography, AND she's a wonderful painter.
