They all think they're better than people who aren't religious. Of course, they say they don't think they're better than anyone, they say that people just haven't had the same enlightenments or had a relationship with God - but they say it in a really condescending way that means they're really thinking they're better than you.

Whenever you try to have a discussion with a religious person about faith, it always end the same. They spout some kind of optimistic-sounding bullshit about "Well, I guess we will have to respect our differences." But what they really mean by that is "Fuck you I'm the bigger person, na-na-na-na-na-na."

It makes me wanna knock the crap out of 'em until I can pretend their clobbering has somehow proved me right.

I'm sure there are some people around here who this doesn't apply to (although, the people who it does apply to would say it doesn't), but everyone I've talked to who has brought up their religion without being provoked to do so has qualified.
