Schmidt-Rubin K-31s and wonder about what that little bent piece of metal under the front of the barrel is....it is a stacking piece so you can stack them. In order to do that though you need 3 K-31s. I had to go to the post office today and send off Komodo's winning knife. Next door, in the mall, is a Dunham's Sporting Goods Store. They had (until yesterday) K-31s on sale for $99.99. Sale ended; they had 2 left at their regular price of $149.99. TOO MUCH $$. I asked the sales clerk if he could sell them both to me for the sale price - his manager said OK so I got 2 K-31s for $99.99 each plus tax. How does the stacking clip work you ask?

These date from 1946, 1949, and 1955
I forgot to add, that 2 of the three have matching s/n on bolt, barrel, receiver, and magazines and 2 of them have the original name tag of the Swiss Soldier whom they were issued to. Mine belonged to Bachman Pius and Jacques Muller.
