This is a knife I finished 2 weeks ago. It was the most hard to make knife I ever made but I'm really proud of how it turned out :)

San Mai Damascus Ringed Fighter
Damascus made of 1010 and 1070 with a O1 core.
5" blade, 10" overall length, 3/16' thickness. Handle slabs were made with sheep horn and the bolsters are coppered damascus. Sheath is handstitched cow leather with an anaconda skin insert and damascus coppered point. Presentation box was made from pine wood dyed and splashed with transparent poliurethane droplets.

That's a beautiful knife. I must admit when I first sow the drawings Clydetz came up with I was not sure I liked it, but it turned out great. :gogdog:

Here's a couple of pixs of the knife in hand... I really like the 'grippiness' of the sheep stag slabs! Ariel's san mai damascus is fantastic & I really love the coppered damascus bolsters! :-D

That looks like a great fit. Did you send him hand measurements?

There is one thing about getting a knife from Ariel, He supplies first class professional photos of the knife before it ships so when it arrives all you gotta do is sit back and enjoy!! I am really loving my short sword. I chopped the shit out of this 20lb pumpkin I was saving for it and wear it around the house often. the sheath itself is a work of art. I hope to one day handle your knife Gary and have plans to own Ariels first framelock folder :-D

The fit is great! Ariel pretty much stuck with my drawing and no specific hand measurements were taken. I knew the thickness, length & width of other knife handles that felt comfortable and added a slight palm 'swell' which I like.

Anytime you get up this way TBG you're welcome to stop in! Just don't try to scare Clyde! :-D Framelock mania... now you're really putting Ariel to work!

I don't have any doubts about this knife puncturing a 55 gallon oil drum, but......

NO!
NO!
NO!
NO!

Nice, Ariel.
I really enjoy your tutorials. They are not the run of the mill how-to articles. Your work is unique.

Thank you very much again :) :)

I have to admit I didn't/don't really know what a framelock was/is, but Nestor got one from Christmas from Australia so I will take a careful look at the method this next Friday.

But don't get all excited yet, I still have a lot to make before trying a folder :)

Ariel

That knife was FUCKING AWESOME, I wish I knew how to take better pictures (and had better equipment) at that time...

Awesome knife. Now, what I want to know is, how many knife fights has Clydetz been in with this blade? :devilzeek
