I just got done watching this fucking moolie's movie "When the Levies Broke"
I'm so goddamn sick of the blacks crying about how "The Man" won't help them. They were told to get the fuck out of New Orleans, and didn't do it! FUCK THEM! I spent 6 months there in there shithole doing the job they WOULDN'T do. 95% of the people that are there repairing that cesspool are from out of state, while these worthless pieces of shit are all over the country, still on the government tit, like they have been. Don't see Mississippi crying for help, they are rebuilding themselves. New Orleans was Gods way of flushing the toilet on that shithole, except it appears that it has overflowed into the rest of the country, especially Houston. Some fucking people just need to be dead.

I saw him on one of the morning news casts, and the rant-on signs were everywhere lol
It was bad enough--his claim that the government had decided to clense the gene pool down in LA of African Americans, but when he compared Bush and his administration to Hitler and his ethnic cleansings, I felt like throwing a rock through my flat panel...

Unfortunaltely--Dtex is right on the money with this one.
We are all paying the Bill for re-building a town that was and will be again--A cesspool.
Dtex--Remember that Spike Lee get's paid to throw stuff in peoples Face.
I find it best--not to watch anything he produces.
It is pure exploitation of every decent Black Person in this Country.
You will find that by and large--they also reject him and his work.

I've seen a few old Spike Lee movies, and a couple of Michael Moore films, I enjoyed them.
I guess they have become very political lately, cause they both draw a lot of fire. I'm not very politically minded myself.
But Spike Lee is not any more extreme in his black bias than many of his detractors are extreme in their white bias.
Now New Orleans, thats a different story.
Thats just a state and city that never prepared for a disaster that even school children in N.O. knew would eventually come.
Business as usual in Louisiana.
New Orleans is full of a lot of very ignorant people of various races.
Anyone who has ever lived there knows this.
And anyone who has ever lived there knew that eventually a storm would come and level the place and that they were unprepared.

The people effected by Rita and Katrina were all different colors.
They main problem I have w/ the left on this is blaming Bush for the shape the levies where in.
They have been in bad shape for decades and what happened was inevitable.

Even I have to agree with that. And as much as I'd like to blame him for something, I'll let this go with "It is ludicrous to blame Bush for those levees."
Even crazier is the theory that the levess were bombed or somehow sabotaged to drive the poor and black out of N.O. WTF? That's like the theory circulated about the US being in cahoots to take down the Towers so Bush could gain power or justify a war. Extreme paranoid delusion.

This place is wild.
I'm torn on this issue because I'm from south Louisianna. Coonass through and through.
Someone earlier said the people there are ignorant. Completely true, white and black. Its so popular to drop out and get into the oil field there. When we turned 16 the class shrunk. Men went into the fields, women went into the nursery. Then you get injured, get a settlement and live high on the hog without doing shit for most of your life. So there is a culture there of living off the teet.
My home town in S. Louisianna is still has seperate white and black swimming pools. (And drive through full liquor bars too.) So its kinda messed up down there. Still, that chocolate city line was horse shit.
The politics there are nuts. The history is maffia hit jobs and governors in prison. Been Democratic for a long time, I'll point out without hiding the right wing slant.
There were failures at all levels of govt there IMO. Wouldn't have been such a trajic disaster had the stubborn assholes got the fuck out though. Nagin couldn't have gotten em out. They'd have resisted, it would have been a nightmare. He should have buckled down and worked rather than politicizing the entire thing. The governor, whatever, totaly worthless. Then there's Michael Brown. That appointment is all I fault Bush for in the deal. One of his worst mistakes appointing him IMO.
None of this would have been as bad if people were more self reliant. To expect the govt to take care of you is ludicrous. None of the self reliant people were floating in front of CNN cameras. They had all left.
