Microtech dragonfly ? ? ? ? ?

I have just gotten a MICROTECH DRAGONFLY Bali....It's pretty, cool...It has a CE Blade, and Black handles.....Can anyo fo you Bali, guys let me know what I got ? I'm just an average Flipper.....Here are a couple pics.

Microtech is second to none in the fit/finish department. If you really want a pocket clip you'd be better off just having someone custom install one on that Dragonfly. That would be fucking awesome.

Personally I would have to disagree with that... having both, I would say that the flyfather rivals the dragonfly in fit and finish. Although it is only a proto at the moment, the production models are allegedly going to be available with the option of a clip. I would say from my experience that the flyfather is the ONLY balisong I have handled with better fit and finish aside from some extremely expensive customs. For the price range, it is the only one in its class and the f&f is INCREDIBLE. You won't find another like it out there.... come to think of it, I kinda miss mine :ssad:

I doubt that they would, but nothing's impossible. Personally I think it would be great if they came out with another Ti handled bali like the Tachyon.

I was under the impression that the Dragonfly wasn't as good as the Tachyon... that they had left over blades and did a budget job by using aluminium handles instead of the Ti. That fit and finish on the Dragonfly's was hit and miss???

that`s right ....it was made with left over blades don`t know about the hit and miss part i love my Dragonfly it`s well made ...most consider the Tachyon the best production bali

I can't speak to the Dragonfly as I only have a Tachyon right now. All the Microtechs I've had have been WAY better than any Benchmade of Spyderco I've ever handled. Just looking at the Flyfathers I always assumed they were hand finished. Besides forgetting the latchgate the f/f looks fucking amazing, I wouldn't really consider it a production piece.

I have Silkworm's Tach at the moment. Not the best flipper. but the f/f blows any other production out of the water. Roton, 42, spyderfly, szabofly, smallfly, arc angel, etc

all the quality in the world wont help you if your company is to dickish to help your customers, I haven't had to use the warranty on any of my MTs but I'm kind of scared to try

In response to the above. If the flyfathers aren't considered production pieces (they're in limbo... I don't consider them customs, what are they categorized as :ssad: ) then microtech balis are the best by far in fit and finish. The tachyon and the dragonfly are equivalent in f&f IMO. If microtech makes another bali and it's affordable, they'll have a huge hit on their hands... Except for their shitty CS.

True but... You can't compare a production Bali to a nice custom... My CGK blows my tachyon out the water... It's no question. Plus with the going rate of a NIB tachyon at $500-600 you can be damn sure that for $100-$200 more I get my CGK everytime.

Now if Microtech introduces a Bali in the street price range of $300-350 that is as good of a flipper as the tachyon but larger... I'll be all over it. That's just my 2cents....

But we know Microtech isn't getting any cheaper. :devilroll:
