Blade is forged from Harley connecting rod . Steel is 4340 molychrome
steel . It got nice and hard . I am sure Harley added some extra carbon to thier propietary 4340 steel . OL is 8 3/4" cutting edge is around 4.5 + nearly 3/16" thick at spine. For you Harley riders heres a unique one for the road .......

Very cool, Mr. B.
I like the idea of retaining the small end.
Right now......... somewhere.....
there's a guy looking to make a 7/8" lanyard.

Now THAT is cool. A run of those would be quite profitable at Sturgis, Daytona and even Oatman. Just a thought bubba-san, an orange and black cord wrap would really give it a HD touch.

Thanks for the comments , Been trying to find some more connecting rods ???? the new ones are around $300!!! Have to buy the bearing and bolt I have been looking for used ones and they are also expensive 75$- 90$ used. I guess that why you dont see many of them around. This one is sold pending receipt of funds . thanks Bubba

I'll have to hit up my buddy down at the dealership and have him keep his eyes open for me, I have no idea how many connecting rods they get rid of, or if they save 'em for their own projects.
