Crappy week.

Monday, UNANNOUNCED construction on the 405 FWY. 2-1/2 hours to get to work. Later find out that it will most likely be going on the rest of the week. A couple of days later, they announced through the end of the month.
Tuesday, crack in the water main. Plumbers came out. $$$
Wednesday, 1 hour just to get to the FWY from my office which is 3 miles away. 45 min. to go the other 25 miles home.
Thursday, spoke with my daughter who has been a substitute rural carrier for a couple of years now, waiting on her own route. She had a second job as a contract carrier, but her boss did not renew his contract, so she lost that job. So for a few months now she's been down to one day a week, plus any fill in she can get. USPS just reassigned her to a different route and she went from one day a week guaranteed to once every two weeks. :madfacedevil: She is so responsible and such a hard worker, it breaks my heart.
Today, rear-ended by a tow truck on my way to work. The driver was a total dickhead on top of it all (no, not Ron).

If I survive the drive home, I'm buying a Lotto ticket. The law of averages says next week is gonna be awesome!

Well...at least you're keeping busy.

Good Luck on that Lotto ticket! It may not be your day, but, things WILL get better. Life is a Test.

Best of Luck to your Daughter in hopes that her gig goes well, soon. I wish her all good things; I think she's got the Great Dad thing sewn up.

It's all good cause its' the weekend! My daughter has a Masters in education and couldn't get a teaching job. Tried for 2 years. She could sub everyday but no benefits. A month ago she got hired by Chase bank no less at big bucks in there mortgage division as a counselor for defaults. Who'd a thunk it right. Like I said it's the weekend so for the next 2 days fuck it. keepem sharp and hang in there.

**Silver Lining**

I finally got a new car. I've been riding in the same 2004 Saturn since I bought it new Labor Day of 2003. Been wanting a new car for years, but something always came up with the kids, property taxes, vet bills, etc. and I kept putting it off. Well, Progressive Insurance totaled out the little bastard and gave me about $1,000 more than it was worth. Got me a 2007 Dodge Nitro with low miles and looks brand new top to bottom. I'm totally diggin' it.

Never did buy that Lottery Ticket :devilroll:
