I heart it
I also wish Roslin could stay awake during it too!

I may have to resubscribe to HBO to watch it.
I hated it when Calamity Jane left though, she was my favorite character.

yes, when I get to see it, I have alway loved westerns, and so have my boys. I have to thank my Dad for that, he raised us on John Wayne and my Boys love it. I think a have the only 6 yr old who can quote" Green Berets or She wore a yellow ribbon".
Awesome show!

Unless they are rerunning season two, this would be SEASON THREE, not Season Two. Although, I wouldn't be surprised if they are running the entire second season over again just to gear up and get us primed for the third season.
The greatest TV series ever made.
Grimmy: does your three year old quote Al Swearingen much?
Calamity Jane did disappear for a few episodes, but she came back almost like a primary character for a while after that. The whole ensemble cast thing seems to let different characters drift in and out of the central plot, though Swearingen seems to always stay close to the center.
I saw every episode until this season - I missed the return - I haven't seen any of this season - didn't even realize it was back on. Thanks for the heads up!

Well while I am troubled at the prospect of seeing Calamity Jane nekkid, I am glad she's still on the show.
I will have to gain access.
Its such a great show, it reminds me a lot of the old Warren Beatty movie McCabe and Mrs.Miller.

Yes this is season 3/three, we are now heading into the third episode. If you missed the last two episodes you should be able to jump in and figure out what is going on or you will be able to catch them on "HBO on demand" if your cable company carries it. Jane seems to be a half way decent looking woman under all that dirt and filthy clothing, she seemed to have nice cans from what I could tell. IMO Deadwood has the best writing and character developement on TV. I need to pick up season 2 on DVD, I wis my DVR had a DVD burner in it................ cock sucker.

Interesting use of a rock hammer last night
Too bad we have to wait till next week to find out if fingers were cut off, or only broken. With the amount of blood on S's jacket, he won't be sticking his pinky in his ear anymore! :thefinger

Just started watching this series on DVD and I'm about four episodes in...thus far I'm really liking it! Did anyone else watch this series when it was on or has rented it?
Please no spoilers discussions :)

It was one of my favorites. When HBO canceled it I dropped HBO. Didn't seem to bother them that I did that.

It only made three seasons, right?
Xarathos

Correct 3 seasons. There was talk of a movie but it didn't happen. 3 seasons seems to be the formula for the the premium cable series. To bad it was a great show. Very high production standards, good stories and cast. Not to far off historically.

I liked Oz and I've got a thing for True Blood lately (that's HBO, right?). I'm not huge into the whole vampire thing but I don't mind them, and I think it's kinda neat to see a show like True Blood go out on the crazy limbs it does (although I realize it's sorta following the book series).
I tried to watch the Wire (am I still in HBO at this point) but just couldn't get into it, though I know a ton of people who loved it.

I watched it. Loved it . But damn. How many times to you need to say "fuck". Maybe that's the way they spoke in those days. It just bothered me that they spoke like royalty with fuck in every sentence. Other than that I loved the story line.

Yeah the swearing does seem a bit excessive, but I dunno maybe it was how they spoke. I do agree that at some point cursing just starts to take away from dialogue though....I don't mind cursing one bit but at some point it feels like the writer was just too lazy to come up with something more intricate so they through a few swears in there.

Oh yea, it's a great show. We didn't have HBO, until we caught one or two shows at a friends. Then we went through the whole series on DVD. Olyphant (Bullock) stars on the new show Justified, it is pretty good too.
